Judge McMillan is Doing What He Said He Would Do! Why is Georgiana Shocked?

Today’s Knoxville News Sentinel contribution from Georgiana Vines is kinda perplexing. If you have spent your disposable income in order to leap tall pay-walls, here ya go. Anyway, basically the 411 (aka information for a few of you in Sequoyah Hills) is that McMillan promised to fix the slow burdensome obstacles that Former Judge Bill Swann had implemented and by golly, McMillan is delivering.

That probably shocked Vines because so many new folk run for office promising to do things differently. Then they become the status quo. McMillan defied the odds, he was not the preferred candidate of the “in” crowd, but he worked his butt off and he had a small group of devoted friends and colleagues that pitched in and he won a tight Republican primary. He then faced a Democrat opponent and had to work his butt off again because some people were still bruising from the close primary. But he won and now his is delivering. Kudos to Judge McMillan!

After the August election, I attended a Republican unity lunch and while the Knox County Republican Party Chair was running through the list of elected Republicans. Someone yelled out that she left off Judge McMillan, she apologized and said “oh you were not on my list”. Of course I made a comment to Judge McMillan about it, but he just shrugged it off. Judge Greg McMillan is a good guy, an excellent Jurist and he will continue fixing the broken state that Fourth Circuit Court had become. While divorce is unfortunate and most of the time necessary. The best thing for the children who are only children for a few years is for their parents to quit fighting and transition on in life. The court system should allow families to heal and move on as quickly as possible, not keep the fighting going on and on and on. I believe that is the heart of Judge McMillan.
