Lowe’s Trial to Stay in Knox County with a Knox County Jury

Yesterday it was announced that Knox County Criminal Court Judge Steve Sword ruled that the motion filed by Attorney Greg Issacs on behalf of his client, Former Knox County Trustee Mike Lowe seeking a change of venue or at least a jury comprised of citizens from outside of Knox County was denied. The trial apparently will continue here in the river city and with a jury made up of Knox Countians.

I am not a lawyer, have not attended law school, so my thoughts are just those, my thoughts. With all the mentions and references that the former Trustee has received by the only daily newspaper (and all it’s little owned weakly’s) in this fair river city it seemed on it’s face to be a question of probable conclusion. However, I trust the expertise of Judge Sword and believe if he believes that there are 12 individuals  plus a few alternate jurors that can view all the evidence and decide the outcome fairly than so be it.

Of course, I am reminded of how the News Sentinel’s circulation has dropped over the last 8-12 years. How ineffective advertising in the paper has become. How the coverage of the 911 board, the proposer Harris, the shared PR firm without the News Sentinel revealing one time the connection of Harris and the News Sentinel. All of that multiplies to how little credibility the Sentinel and all their owned weekly publications have.

Well as Paula Dean would say “this ones going to be good, ya’ll”. It appears that the rubber is going to meet the road, and many people will sing like a song bird to cover their own ass. I cannot wait for all the wicked details to fly out of their mouths like diarrhea after eating bad apples. The lies and deceit will splatter on the walls of justice. I hope PBA is prepared for a clean up. Has anyone ever put the pieces of the puzzle together? The trustee and the assessor cannot fart without someone smelling the effervescence of home cooking. I am not going to predict this one folks, the wheels of justice will settle this score once and for all. Then we can watch the NEXT chapter of “Put the screws to us”.

I have listened to the ground water rumble from the second floor, it appears that some home cooking is occurring right under our nose. You know cabbage has an odor, and the fumes from Jim Weaver are drifting out the revolving door. Really now lets be serious…. Weaver do you think this town is stupid enough to fall for you as an assessor with the Butter and Egg Man second in command. We have had seven years of stupidity, and you of all people with a degree have just let the shenanigans continue. The Butter and Egg Man has ruined your reputation, simply for the all mighty dollar. The Lowe trial is going to shine a spot light on the assessors office, and sorry to say the the blowtorch of justice is going to light up many asses, in so many ways. The same issues that occurred before old Phil was elected are still going on today, its just much worse and ever more obvious. Either you support my crony or I am going to raise your assessment. Yes it actually happens that way, isn’t that right Butter Man. How many of the Patel family have heard this same phrase from the Butter and Egg Man? You know Aunt Bea supported the Butter and Egg man until Opie found several moonshine stills under the hen house. I just wonder what will be discovered when the old regime goes out the door next year. Wrinkles can’t be blamed for this one, it falls right back on the drunkard. Speaking of our female Otis, when the fire from the still burns your ass are you going to take the fall? It sure is a sad situation we have here. This county wold not be in the financial situation it is if assessments were not “rigged”. The crock also called the slop jar needs to be thrown out the window of the second floor, and the top four in command with it. Is there any others that are going to take a run for office against this ass clown and his merry men and one old alcoholic?
