Knox Democrats are Beginning to Challenge One Another! Staples to take on McKenzie

So, while the next Republican Chair may start looking to recruit a Republican candidate to take on Democrat Sam McKenzie in the Knox County General Election of 2016 for County Commission, First District. It may be that McKenzie is out in the Knox County Democrat Primary of 2016.

A younger candidate Rick Staples is said to be lining up his energized grass roots team for a primary challenge. Which has garnered the attention of the first district party bosses, because McKenzie has been pushed out to the Democrat clubs trying to show he isn’t just a seat warmer for the powers that be. It seems that when attacks or aleged wrong doings was focused on the Beck Cultural Center. 1) McKenzie did not defend the center and 2) when nothing was found wrong, McKenzie did not demand an apology.

Also, while there was much made about the Republican Election Commissioners, it seems that Andrew Roberto and Ursula Bailey have indicated that they would like to serve in the seat that Tammy Kaousias serves. It is almost a certainty from the sources that Cassandra McGee will remain.
