Bush Admits He Misspoke in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Former Florida Governor, and G.O.P Presidential candidate Jeb Bush was in Nashville Tuesday. He spoke at the Send North America Conference at Bridgestone Arena.

Democrats are slamming Bush for a remark he made at the event.

When asked about federal funding for Planned Parenthood at a meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention Bush said, in part, that he wasn’t sure the U.S. needed half a billion dollars for women’s health issues.

But after catching flack from his colleagues from across the aisle, Bush said he “misspoke.”

The Florida Governor added:

“There are countless community health centers, rural clinics and other women’s health organizations that need to be fully funded.”

Tuesday’s event also included a video interview with Presidential candidate Marco Rubio.

Here is the report by The Tennessean.
