Carson Intends to Keep Both Paid Positions

Georgiana Vines in today’s Knoxville News Sentinel reports that Karen Carson intends to keep the School Board and State Legislative position (if she beats Jason Zachary) on Wednesday. Commissioner John Schoomaker told me at the debate that the Conmissioners have agreed that whoever wins the Primary on Wednesday the County Commission will appoint in August. Meaning the paycheck begins immediately.

Carson is running to be Governor Haslam’s rubber stamp. Her record of being a rubber stamp for Superintendent Lindsey and McIntyre is perfect.

  1. When will they learn? says:

Was the County Commission’s decision made in public in a scheduled Commission meeting? Why would they pay this woman twice with our money? And more importantly, why would Carson accept this money? This shows Karen Carson is unfit for service as the District 14 Representative. Show how you feel with your vote August 12th.

    Maybe legal, but clearly unethical.
