Tomorrow Night at Center City Conservatives Republican Club

In September and October the Center City Conservatives Republican Club have set aside to hear from the Republican candidates for Knox County Commission. Last month 3 of the 12 (we are aware of) were able to attend and spoke. They were First District Michael Covington, Second District John Fugate and the Fourth District Incumbent Commissioner.

We are expecting 9 candidates tomorrow at the Shoney’s located at 4410 Western Avenue in Knoxville, if you would like to eat dinner (you pay for your bill aka dutch treat) and socialize then arrive around 5:45 or 6:00 p.m., the program will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. We also socialize after the program.

The candidates we expect are, Second District Michele Carringer, Fourth District Janet Testerman and Hugh Nystrom, Fifth District John Schoonmaker, Sixth District Commissioner Brad Anders and Challenger John Ashley, Eighth District Commissioner David Wright, Ninth District Candidates Carson Dailey and Josh Ward. Each candidate will speak 3-5 minutes.

The Center City Conservatives Republican Club meet the fourth Thursday of every month with the exception of November and December, due to the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays. In January we expect to have the Republican candidates for Knox County Property Assessor and Law Director. The Public and Democrats are welcome to attend, however, we do not have Democrat candidates running on the Democrat ballot as speakers.

In a somewhat unrelated Center City Conservatives Republican Club news, Fourth District Republican Commission Candidate Hugh Nystrom is having his kickoff event at Buddy’s Banquet Hall tomorrow at 5:30 p.m., he is going to make every effort to attend the Center City meeting. However, he will likely be at the end of the program as he will be arriving later than the others. Nystrom was very conscientious to check with the club before finalizing his event. As the First Vice President (my duty is the program) I told him the club would understand if he were late or unable to make it. His kickoff is a much more pressing event for his many supporters and hundreds of volunteers.
