Today, the FOP endorsements for the November 3 City of Knoxville elections were in the Knoxville News Sentinel. Finbarr Saunders opponent has spent much time discussing the city pension and citing individuals that he says were harmed or short changed. Joe Sullivan has cited where Bonovich’s alleged facts are totally bogus. So, one would think Saunders would not be endorsed by the uniformed body. BUT, no in fact the uniformed body endorsed and is supporting Saunders.
In the Marshall Stair -v- Pete Drew race the uniformed body endorsed Drew. So Drew said something that reasonated with the organization that Saunders opponent clearly failed to accomplish.
