The campaign of Michele Carringer for Knox County Second District County Commission has joined our website to promote her candidacy to replace Democrat incumbent Amy Broyles, who is not seeking reelection.

Carringer is a lifelong resident and long time community activist of Knox County . Michele is the daughter of Jack and Irene McCrary of Fountain City.  She and her husband of Dr. Michael Carringer, have two children, Dr. Christie Carringer Lewallen and Kent Carringer, and one  granddaughter, Emma Grace Lewallen. Carringer is currently a board member of the East TN Epilepsy Foundation, the Metropolitan Drug Commission, Sertoma Center, Halls Crossroads Women’s League, The Congressional Medal of Honor Society Convention Steering Committee, The Free Medical Clinic of America and she belongs to numerous business and professional organizations.  She is also a member and former first vice president of The Knoxville Academy of Medicine Alliance and is a sustaining member of Akima Club.

Carringer faces one opponent in the March 1, 2016 Second District Republican Primary.  Early Voting begins February 10 and runs through February 23, 2016.
