Fifth District Knox Co. School Board Candidate Campaign Finance Disclosures

There are three candidates running for the Fifth District Knox Co. School Board position. If no candidate receives 50% plus one vote the top two candidates will face off in the August 4, 2016 General Election.

Lori Boudreaux has raised $3,295.78, spent $2,340.76 with $955.02. She reports a loan of $2,340.76 and obligations of $4,063.90

Susan Horn, a family member of Interim State Representative Jason Zachary. Horn raised $5,105.00, spent $1,262.45 with a balance of $3,842.55 on hand. Notable Contributions, Steve Hill husband of School Boarder Terry Hill $250, Zachary for State Rep. $500, Jason Zachary $250, on the line of Occupation it reads NA which means Not Applicable, I believe. The State form that is given to candidates requires to report Occupation and Employer. The campaign has refused. Horn and Zachary has the same Treasurer. How one person can write a check from the State House account and deposit in the School Board account is ethically questionable on it’s face, in my opinion.

Reuben “Buddy” Pelot IV has raised $23,750.00 and has $4,811.61 in obligations. School Board Chairman Doug Harris and his wife gave $1,500 each.
