The Rest of the Story

The League will not have a candidate forum for the County Commission Second District between Republican Michele Carringer and Democrat Laura Kildaire. Sources indicate that Kildaire will be out of the country and was unable to commit to either of the two dates for Commission forums. .

Democrat Evelyn Gill is a no show for the First District County Commission forum today.

I don’t know if both candidates failure to commit is an indictment on two lack luster, ill prepared candidates that are not fully committed to the process or an indictment on the Knox Co Democrat party on selecting two candidates that refuse debate.
