*On 5/9/2016 Shopper News Victor Ashe contributed $1,250.00 to Daniel. Since contributing to Daniel’s camapign Ashe authored on July 5, Ashe this column, on June 21 this column, on June 14, this column, on June 7, this column and on May 31, this column. Sources indicated that the News Sentinel (the Shopper’s parent company) pulled Georgiana Vines off a Campfield race because of a conflict. Why is the News Sentinel allowing this (in my opinion) obvious conflict is perplexing. Of course things have changed at the Sentinel in the past couple of years, when the Publisher is leasing a personal residence from a County Commissioner and announced 2018 County Mayoral candidate.
