Knox County Beer Board Messed Up Last Month Again

I detailed here about the sweetheart slap on the hand that John Schoonmaker and 5 of his Commission colleagues gave to C&C nOutdoors last month.

The beer board just concluded it’s July meeting, Commissioner Brad Anders just gave notice that when they dealt with Bayou Bay Seafood House in South Knoxville and accepted the owners testimony but not the officers testimony and voted to NOT penalize them, they erred. Because when the server went to General Sessions Court they did not plead innocent as the owner swore that the server would do, they swore no contest and sought diversion. This means the owner perjured themselves when they were sworn last month to the beer board.

How can 10 grown men and one women (elected by the people, except Schoonmaker) hear testimony from one side, not hear it from the other side and vote to exonerate someone and then the testimony change. Thankfully 4 (McKenzie, Broyles, Ownby and Brown) of these will not be there in 37 days and will be replaced by better, hopefully!
