Brian’s Blog has requested and received the Knox County Commission Discretionary Ledger for the period of July 1, 2008 – October 31, 2009. We will review each Commission District in separate posts. Each Commissioner is budgeted $6,000.00 per year for their discretionary use per fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). So, we are actually reviewing one complete fiscal year and one quarter and one month. The discretionary funds are to be used on legitimate non profit 501-C-3 community organizations. Our next post will inform you of one questionable spending item and then we will go district by district, informing you of where you’re money is being spent.
