One of Kent Calfee’s Opponents Filed Suit and Failed to Prosecute?

A couple days ago I published this post about Kent Calfee’s opponents records. Since that posting I have discovered that in 2008 shortly after being rejected by the voters in his reelection for the Roane County School Board, he was a participant in suing the school board and Roane County.

The document I found online here details that Overstreet filed suit, but the suit was apparently dismissed due to failure to prosecute.

Our legal system is bogged down with a sue happy culture, where advertisements are telling you that you can take one incident and cash in. In this situation, it would seem that the county taxpayers had to pay for the defense of the School Superintendent, High School Principal, School Board and Roane County to defend a lawsuit that was never prosecuted.

Wow, the Overstreet’s sue the county in 2008 and Ellis and Collier want to reward him two years later with a school board seat appointed by Commission. I wonder if Den Ferguson told Randy to do that?
