Is A Show down at a County Commission Meeting in the Works?

Sources indicate that several County Commissioners are NOT happy with County Clerk Foster Arnett and a County Commission discussion may be happening soon. Commissioners are not happy that they have received phone calls from constituents upset that they took the day off from work to go and conduct business at the Clerk’s office only to show up to a notice that the office with doors locked and was closed on Friday October 28, 2016 for “training”. The last Friday of the month to have your license tags renewed.

The greatest frustration is that here you have a County Clerk that once served as a Spokesman for the City of Knoxville Police Department and he was too clueless to put out a press release so that the Knoxville News Sentinel (which he serves as the President of the papers Charity) in order to have a story about it and no television or radio announcements about the closure.

According to Clerk employee sources it was an event at ijams nature center in South Knoxville for a conference shake and howdy which was also described as an all day party and luncheon.

If he is called before the 11 County Commission panel, hopefully he doesn’t choke up.
