Republican State Rep. Eddie Smith of TN House District 13 posted on his Facebook page that his opponent Democrat Gloria Johnson has called and conceded. A review of her Facebook page shows her concession remarks to her supporters.

What is Johnson’s future? Will she attempt to take the TN Democrat Chair position again? Surely not, since TN Democrat Chair Mary Mancini fought to the last second on behalf of Johnson. BTW, I met Mancini today and seems to be a very pleasant person. She even beat me to the punch and asked if I were Brian.
Will Johnson take on one of the Knoxville City Council positions in 2017 or Mayor for the City of Knoxville in August or September of 2019? I don’t see her taking on Smith again in two years, 2018.
