Poor Ole Betty Bean Just Can’t Hide Her Bias

So the latest Betty Bean bird cage liner is interesting. Still clinging to hope for her pal Gloria Johnson. However, in typical sloppy writing missed Republican State Representative Eddie Smith‘s victorious margin by one vote. Bean reports 153 when in fact after Tuesday night was 154. All after Johnson and crew kept shouting every count should count. But ole Bean wants to throw one out. Shame Shame Bean!

Then ole Bean writes “She (Gloria Johnson) wanted contact information for some 50 voters who ran afoul of the photo ID law when they went to vote. These would-be voters had 48 hours to get down to the courthouse and “cure” the deficiency by presenting the required credentials. This process was impeded by the Veterans Day holiday Friday.” The process was impeded by Veterans Day Holiday? NO! the voter had until 4:30 pm on Thursday November 10, 2016 to appear at the election commission with their drivers license. That is 48 hours after the election. Friday’s Veterans Day in NO way impeded that provision of state law.

Also, the voter is given specific detailed information about having 48 hours to present their id and those instructions are handed to them on bright orange paper to take home. Specifically to avoid the need to have a candidate like Gloria from calling them. What Cliff Rodgers, the staff of the Knox County Election Commission and the Provisional Counting Board did was text book. But ole Bean wouldn’t know that because she nor anyone from the Slopper News bothered to get out of their comfy settings and traveled to the Election Commission to view the process, making Bean simply an irrelevant keyboard warrior and not a good one at that. I did travel to the Election Commission and watched and recorded the process for my readers, here.

Why Patrick Birmingham, the management oversight of the Slopper News allows this type of bias to continue is astounding.

The next thing you know, ole Bean will be floating out a crazy conspiracy that Governor Bill Haslam cares two bits about a certain bloggers picture being in the same television commercial that he the Governor is in. Something so absurd you would think she works on the sixth floor of the county side of the City County Building.
