Christmas Reception at the Knox County Register of Deeds Office

This morning, Sherry Witt and her staff of the Knox County Register of Deeds office had their annual Christmas reception from 8:30 until 10 a.m. Many of the City County Building employees and visitors were treated to Hot Coffee or Hot Cider, Sausage biscuits, Chocolate covered Strawberries, Cinnamon rolls, Chocolate Brownies and fruit cup.

While I was in line I met and talked to Jackie Raley the Chief Deputy of Knox County Property Assessor John R. Whitehead. I took my plate and coffee over to the Assessor’s office and had a nice visit with several Property Assessor employees. The mood of the Assessor’s Office is vastly different than it was earlier this year. A very professional staff willing to work with the taxpayers. There appeared to be no fear of retaliation if an employee does one thing the boss hasn’t communicated.
