Bud Bowden, A Life of NO Strangers!

December 15, 1992, the wife and our oldest child moved into Concord in Southwest Knox County. On the evening before the blizzard of 1993 I met the guy that was closing on the house next door, Brad Moore. When Brad and Cathy and their oldest Rachel got moved in, a friendship developed that are still family today. With the friendship of the Moore’s and Hornback’s we got grafted into the extended families, parents, siblings and all. The Moore and Hornback children are like brothers and sisters.

I tell that story today, because early this morning, Cathy’s dad, Bud Bowden entered the gates of Heaven. As I think of people passing, I am reminded of Dr. Adrian Rogers saying that when you hear of his passing to not feel sorry for him, for he will be dancing on the streets of gold. I can see my friend Bud doing a jig this morning in Heaven and my oh my all his friends and family that he is visiting with.

Have a good time Bud, till we meet again, Sir!
