WBIR Reports KCSO Officer Disciplined for Digging into Records

Here WBIR reports that KCSO Officer Russell B Kuhlman has been reprimanded for “gross misconduct” for accessing, retrieving  and negligently distributing information  to someone outside the department for “personal reasons” on March 2, 2017.

WBIR did attempt through KCSO Spokesperson Martha Dooley to identify the specifics, she said that Sheriff Jones stands behind the letter in Kuhlman’s file. WBIR did attempt to contact Kuhlman, however, they were not successful. BrianHornback.Com will likely seek the reprimand and examine the document first hand.

With some background information that may be unrelated or not, Kuhlman’s wife has in the past served as a campaign manager for various political candidates (Jeff Ownby in 2016) and is currently working with former County Commissioner Robert Lawrence Smith, who WBIR reported here faces a KCSO investigation for a February 27 incident. Of course BrianHornback.Com was first here with the story on the investigation on March 3, 2017.
