On heels of strong finish, Christensen sees an increase in support

KNOXVILLE, TENN, Sept. 3, 2017 – After finishing a strong second in a four-way race for the 2nd District race for Knoxville City Council, Wayne Christensen has seen an influx of financial backing for his candidacy to represent the people of the city of Knoxville.
“Our campaign has always been about serving the people of every district in this city,” Christensen said. “I’m focused on making decisions that aren’t one size fits all, but that improve the quality of life for all of our citizens in the city limits. That approach means weighing all the issues and how it affects lives from Sequoyah Hills to Lonsdale.”

Christensen has raised over $5,500 in just three days since the August 29th election, to add to his $3,000 in the bank from the primary.

“I believe the citizens of the city of Knoxville want their City Council to be balanced and represent all the people of the city,” said Christensen. “I’m proud to have the support of those that want to improve our infrastructure, create jobs in heavily poverty-laden areas of the city, establish healthy initiatives for our children, and find solutions to the opioid addiction problem in our city through addiction recovery services and support of law enforcement.”
