Knoxville City Council Breaks a Tie

On Wednesday 9/6/2017  at 5:30 pm the City of Knoxville City Council met, they heard from Cliff Rodgers of the Knox County Election Commission about how we got here. Then from their Special Counsel Rob Frost. They then heard from the two candidates that tied, Amelia Parker and Harry Tindell.

Parker spoke first and had two individuals speak on her behalf. Jerrod Croom and Alex Fields.

Tindell spoke next and said this has been a week of second chances in Rocky Top, I am asking for a second chance. Next Robbie Arrington and Sylvia Woods

The council went in roll call and all council members voted for Tindell, Councilman Della Volpe passed initially primarily I assume because it is the seat he represents on council, once 8 votes were cast for Tindell, Della Volpe voted for Tindell making his selection  9 to 0.

Sylvia Woods has always spoken for Tindell, from the first time when he was on the School Board to his tenure in the State House until now.

Immediately after the meeting I asked Parker would she run as a write-in, she said she would let me know. Then there was a rally outside and she will run as a write-in.

Parker and her supporters may not like BrianHornback.Com BUT I am the only media to post her interview with the media UNEDITED without a soundbite.
