Tonight at least 20 people under the age of 40 gathered at Puelo’s on Merchants Drive in North Knoxville. They all share an interest in Republican politics.
The Knox County Republican Party Chairman Buddy Burkhardt and Vice Chair Suzanne Dewar were present. Also Knox County General Sessions Court Judge Tony Stansberry.

County Chairman Burkhardt explained that the current Young Republican Club had fallen below the number of paid members to maintain the Federated Charter along with other requirements. Nearly everyone present signed up and elections were held.
