UPDATE: 10/18/2017 10:25 am, as promised when I posted the story, if Mrs. Perez responded I would update. She responded a few minutes ago to my question. She “rents to own” her home.
I emailed Seema Singh Perez about this issue, Sunday afternoon. If and when she responds, I will update the story with her answer.
On Sunday, October 15, 2017 the two candidates for Knoxville City Council Third District appeared on both talking head shows* on WBIR and WATE. James Corcoran and Perez.
Perez made a comment about having bought the home next door to her father. According to the KGIS website the property at 922 Francis Circle is owned by a couple identified as Aakash Singh & Devani Khobragade.
Thanks to Gary Loe for sharing on his Facebook, a picture of Perez enjoying the support of former Knox County Democrat Chair and former one term State Rep Gloria Johnson. Johnson lost reelection in 2014 and a 2016 challenge.
