Local Sevier County School Educator Michelle Bowman has been elected National Corresponding Secretary of the NEA Republican Caucus.
This is a glimmer of bright light that the NEA is not all bleeding heart liberals.
Congrats to Michelle Bowman.
Mike Antonucci of Education Intelligence Agency documented some time ago that the base of the NEA is fairly conservative (classroom teachers, local folks). The higher up you go in the organization the more liberal the member.
