Knox County Commission Districts Three and Seven 4th Quarter Campaign Financials

In Knox County’s Third Commission District, Incumbent Randy Smith is unopposed in the May 1, 2017 Republican Primary. The filing deadline is NOON February 15, 2017 to be a candidate. Smith had $2,962.60 on hand, raised $21,925.00, spent $551.85 and has $24,336.45 on hand. On August 2, 2018 Democrat Cody Biggs has a petition to challenge the Republican nominee. Biggs has no Treasurer Appointment filed so no financial disclosure is necessary at this point.

In the Seventh Commission District, Incumbent Charles Busler is unopposed in the May 1, 2017 Republican Primary. The filing deadline is NOON February 15, 2017 to be a candidate. Busler has $1,048.93 on hand, raised $2,015.00, spent $2,821.29 and has $242.64 on hand. That is less than a club house voucher in a golf tournament goodie bag. Currently, Steve Hart has a petition to challenge Busler in the August 2, 2018 General Election. Hart as a Democrat. Hart filed a financial disclosure he raised nothing, spent nothing and has nothing on hand. If the Democrat Party will give Hart $300, he would have more money than Busler.
