Rountree Violates School Policy and Endangers Student Drivers

Knox County School Board Vice Chair Amber Rountree has posted a sign on South Doyle High property this weekend. A clear violation of the Knox County School Board Policy C-180 (the policy was revised last June) that says you can only place political signs on school property that serve as polling places after 6 pm the day before the election and must remove it before 7 am the day after. The election for Kristi Kristy is May 1, 2018.

This sign is posted at the exit of the student parking lot obstructing the view of the student drivers exiting the school. In my opinion, it is obvious Rountree’s attitude is that she believes her candidacy is more important than the student drivers at South Doyle High. In addition to posting this story, I am emailing Superintendent Bob Thomas asking him to enforce board policy on the board member.
