Knox County Schools Only Concern is the Money

Yesterday, Hardin Valley Academy was without power for over two and a half hours before dismissing them home for the day.

This morning West Valley Middle School was without power for more than one and a half hours.

How much work can be done in a class room with limited outside light? Today there was little outside light. How much classroom instruction can be instructed without a smart board, laptops, computers and DVD players?

Why do Knox County Schools say at 9:00 a.m. that “policy states they must be without power for three hours before dismissing the students, early”? Because the School System does not receive the state funds for the students until 11:15 a.m. for Elementary and 12:00 noon for Middle and High School students.

So, now we know the real motivation. It is not about the kids or what’s best for the kids. It is all about the money. Revenue producing kids. That’s what it is all about.
