Virginia Babb for School Board in the Fourth District

Lynne Fugate, Knox County School Board Member from West Knoxville’s Fourth District is NOT seeking re-election on May 1, 2018. There is only one candidate on the ballot to replace her.

Virginia Babb is a realtor with Coldwell Banker Wallace & Wallace. She has volunteered in the Knox County Schools since her children started Kindergarten 13 years ago. Virginia has served on many PTA/PTSO committees at Sequoyah Elementary, Bearden Middle and West High School. She was one of the founding board members of the Sequoyah Elementary Foundation, served as the Bearden Middle PTA president and served three years on the West High School Foundation. In addition, Virginia worked for the Great Schools Partnership for 4 years which gave her insight in to public schools across the county, as well as educational issues on the state and federal level.

Virginia Babb is married and has three children who attend West High School. She is running for the 4th District School Board seat because she is passionate about all students in Knox County having the opportunity to have a great education. Virginia believes that a well-educated work force is one of the keys to attracting and retaining businesses to the Knoxville area.
