The Burchett Model of Government….Sell It, Build a New One, Spend More Money

Have you read or seen the news that the Knox County Parks and Recreation Department has extensive cost over runs on the bike project at South Doyle Middle School? It is so severe that the Public Building Authority is taking over the project from the KCPR, here. What Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett does not want you to remember is that in 2011, he along with Knox County Commission sold a bike park (Bigfoot Mountain Park) of more than 150 acres along with the green waste recycling facility in Solway.

So, lets get this right. Knox County had an existing trail and track of bike high jumps in a suburban rural area with plenty of parking and he sold it taking it away as a county amenity, then 6 years later he is building something smaller that he took away from the citizens and he is over spending the budget.

And this is what he wants to help bring to Washington? NO. Washington has had his type of swamp creatures and we are draining the swamp in DC and do NOT want to replace our Conservative John J. Duncan, Jr with a liberal swamp creature.
