The Attacks On Glenn Jacobs Have Begun

The former Shopper gal Sandra took some shots at Glenn Jacobs and his administration on her blog yesterday.

She cited that Jacobs has brought in two guys with little government experience and the fact that no press releases had been spoon fed to her and the other media. Well, FIRST, the choices in the County Mayor Election was clear, Jacobs bested a County Commissioner of ten years and one of four years, the voters (the people that make the decision wanted a new set of eyes and a businessman) As for the media being spoon fed press advisories. How about instead of copying and pasting press advisories you actually do your job.

The Communications guy Rob Link was the Communications guy during the campaign and had the media bothered to read the numerous campaign advisories and actually attended any of the campaign events would have met Link has extensive experience in the private sector and non profit world and know that his father in law is the veteran newsman Vince Vawter, formerly at the Knoxville News Sentinel.

The Chief of Staff Bryan Hair is a former banker that has worked extensively in business. The Chief of Staff is someone that should be someone that can run an organization. Not just been a staffer for a senator and then a lobbyist.

As for Paul White, the director of Parks and Recreation, where Sandra stated in her blog post that she relied exclusively on google. Again, get away from the computer and do some digging. Yes, Paul White is a former banker. His father was an elected official in Claiborne County, Mr. Billy Joe White. You would think someone from Halls would know that. But again, today’s media is too heavy on the google searches and not knowing who the people are.

Jacobs ran for County Mayor for over a year. Had Sandra bothered to cover one of his many events, she coulda, woulda and shoulda met all three of these men.
