New Leaders for the Knox County Republican and Democrat Parties

Early this year, Knox County Republican Party Chair Buddy Burkhardt will turn the gavel over to someone new. Burkhardt has served for four years, two two year terms and is term limited out. I am confident, if he were not term limited, he would still be giving it up. Randy Pace is the only announced candidate for the SATURDAY February 23, 2019 Party Reorganization Convention.

Also, the Knox County Democrat Party Chair Emily Gregg is said to be ready to pass the gavel she has possessed for the past two years. The only possible successor I have heard through Democrat sources is Attorney LaKenya Middlebrook, the daughter of Rev. Harold Middlebrook

LaKenya Middlebrook recently served as Moderator of a Knoxville forum between the three TN Democrat Chair candidates hosted by the UTK College Democrats.
