Karen Carson’s Re-Election Campaign Have Violated Campaign Finance Laws

Thursday was the deadline for filing first quarter financial disclosures. A review of Karen Carson’s filing shows no receipts, no disbursements. We have it on good authority that a check for $250 was given to Karen after the pre-primary filing and that contribution has not been reported.

By law all contributions in excess of $100 must be reported. Brian’s Blog has requested a copy of the canceled check for $250 to have the evidence that the Karen Carson re-election campaign has violated the law. According to documents on file at the Knox County Election Commission office, Diane Jablonski, former School Board member and officer of the Knox County Council PTA was appointed the Treasurer for the campaign in early December 2007.
