TN GOP Allows a Democrat Supporter to Run, Kicks Others Off

The Tennessee Star yesterday published this story about failed Knoxville Mayor candidate Eddie Mannis being allowed to run for TN State House District 18. I asked TN Republican Chairman Scott Golden for the list on Saturday, he anticipated getting to me by close of business yesterday, April 6, I haven’t received it yet.

SEC Sources confirm what the Star reports that Mannis does not have support of the State Executive Committee. But, that Golden will allow Mannis to run based on being vouched for by Freshman Congressman Tim Burchett (because Mannis had a fundraiser for Burchett), Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs and State Senator Dr. Richard Briggs (who reportedly vouched for failed Circuit Court Clerk candidate Don Ridings in 2018)

Bernie or Biden?

Bernie or Biden? When Mannis found himself in the middle on February 25 for the March 3, 2020 Democrat Primary

This weekend, I posted this story in reviewing Mannis, he has financially contributed to Knox County Democrat Party, Democrat State Rep. Rick Staples and failed Democrat Governor candidate Karl Dean (who Mannis endorsed after Republican Governor Bill Lee was the Republican nominee in 2018)

Mannis did NOT personally attend the Knox County Lincoln Day Dinner last year when Governor Bill Lee was the Dinner Speaker. He sent his Mayoral campaign staffers.

Mannis last year supported the ban of gun shows on and in city owned properties. Mannis has no known position on protection of human life, through abortion.

What we do know, is Mannis has friends that do not care about his core values or lack thereof, it is about having Mannis in Nashville because he is a puppet for what they want.

Do NOT buy into the story that is already being said that it is because Mannis professes to be gay. It has NOTHING to do with that, It has everything to do with dollars spent on the Knox County Democrat Party, Democrat Staples and Democrat Dean and casting a February 25 Democrat ballot for the March 3, Democrat presidential primary. That primary was more important to Mannis than the Republican contests for Knox County Property Assessor, Knox County Law Director, Knox County Criminal Court Judge,  Knox County Public Defender and Knox County Commissioner 4th District.

Let us never forget that Burchett cost the Republican party control of the TN State Senate for two years, when he voted for Democrat John Wilder for Lt. Governor instead of Republican Senator Ron Ramsey. “The Senate currently is controlled 17-16 by Republicans, but votes earlier this week by Tim Burchett (R-Knoxville) and Mike Williams (R-Maynardville) kept the GOP from seizing the speaker’s post.” – The Nashville Post January 13, 2005 Also, Burchett utilized the services of Democrat Governor Phil Bredesen to officiate Burchett’s first marriage on June 17, 2008 as reported by WVLT, here.

In an opposite turn of events, United States Senate candidate Byron Bush is one that found himself apparently kicked off the Republican United State Senate ballot by Golden. However, Bush was an active Republican candidate in 1994 for United States Senate, when Dr. Bill Frist became the nominee and ultimately the United States Senator for Tennessee. I have not seen Bush’s voting record, but I am sure he did NOT find himself between Bernie and Biden last month like Mannis did.

I think Byron is a fine candidate and true republican it is shameful that the TNGOP wants to act this way. We need good republican on the ballot not off of it. If you take time to learn about Byron I think you will support him.
