Governor Lee Extends Statewide Stay at Home until April 30

Governor Bill Lee announces the statewide Stay at Home order has been extended until April 30, 2020. Knoxville Mayor Indya Kincannon earlier extended until April 20, I think it’s safe to say she will extend to match the Governor.

Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs doesn’t seem happy. “I understand Gov. Lee’s decision to extend the Safer at Home Order is done with the best interest of the whole state in mind,” said Mayor Jacobs. “With 36 active cases in Knox County, our numbers are stabilizing.” Jacobs ended his statement with, “We don’t have to make a choice between a healthy economy and healthy people. There is a way to combat the virus without killing the economy. I look forward to helping create the plan that enables Knox County do this.”

I am not sure if Lee and Kincannon are willing to give on their positions. So I will sit over here and watch and let you know what I see, when I see it.
