Bless His Heart

Apparently, Gina Oster’s opponent had a bad weekend, he went to his personal Facebook page and played victim because as he wrote and posted, “In my mind, I thought this race might be a little easier because I may have the support of the Knox County GOP”  Is that want you want in a political leader, someone that wants it easy? That’s not the way Trump did it.

Well, he posted screenshots from the Knox County Republican Chairman and for Oster’s campaign manager which would be folks with the Knox County GOP. He also used a screenshot or two from me. Which was kinda odd as I haven’t been in party leadership since mid March 2007.

But hey playing victim is his MO (Modus operandi) and all the other folks performing a journalistic task in this town give him a free pass. As for the things I have reported on him, I have had screenshots. The question I asked yesterday that must have triggered him was about the lack of comments on his campaign Facebook page. Sure enough, on his personal page post I noticed negative comments that appeared, then disappeared and when I noted n my Facebook page that the comments must have been deleted or hidden, they suddenly reappeared on his personal page. Test Successful.

Then later last evening, someone anonymously went to twitter wanting to challenge my Republican bonafides because I happen to like tweets by a Democrat candidate or two.

Let me answer that in the same way I did (on facebook) when asked back in 2019 if I was a Progressive because I was covering Indya Kincannon’s campaign. I have readers that are Progressive, Conservative and Libertarian and for my readers, I cover all sides of a race.

By the way, I also covered Mike Bloomberg and Amy Klobucher’s 2020 Knoxville visits. When the TN Democrat Chairman Race was going on, I met Holly McCall, she is now doing a progressive news website outta middle TN. I also met Christopher Hale, he is running to challenge my friend Congressman Scott DesJarlais. Would I like to meet and talk to both between August 6 and November 3? Absolutely!

I don’t agree with all comments made by Republicans like if someone were to say the reason people are protesting today is because they were not beat enough as children. That is especially concerning when someone is performing the function of father. I have raised three (now adult) children, I didn’t do it as well as I would have liked to, but I digress.

I am honored when Progressive (Democrat) candidates do not run away from me because they have confidence I am not trying to or going to burn them. Currently on this site are Rick Staples and Todd Frommeyer. Frommeyer is challenging another Republican candidate on my site Kyle Ward.

In the past, Marshall Stair and Indya Kincannon we’re receptive to my coverage, The first time Stair ran and won, I supported my Progressive (Democrat) friend Bill Owen. When Stair won, he and I became friends and I still enjoy a conversation with him, although today he is a husband to a great lady and father of two young children so his time is limited.

Of course I have tons of Conservative Republican friends and will continue that but for this blog and my social media applications, I will continue monitoring and covering all sides and if folks wanna keep a tabulation of my D’s and R’s then those folks need a newer hobby, But hey it means they are keeping the numbers high visiting the site, so that is good.
