Hey Victor Ashe, Lay Off Governor Lee, He Hasn’t Violated Civil Rights of People, Like You Did

Former Knoxville Mayor Victor Ashe writes a weekly column with KnoxNews for the weekly Shopper (which is the wrapper for sales circulars) Normally, he just trashed people he doesn’t like.

He is critical this week of Governor Bill Lee for not naming the replacement for the Circuit Court Judge vacancy read here and here in Knox County and the soon to be vacated Chancellor position in Knox County, read here and here

Governor Lee has had a pandemic, a legislature beginning to start and a Special Legislative session on Education. Not to include the Friday morning search warrants. While all you do is call and email asking for quotes to fit the narrative that you have already concluded in your mind. Let us NOT forget that as you served as Mayor a Court of Law ruled that you violated the Civil Rights of several firefighters.

So, just because you may have a crony wanting a Judge spot, Governor Lee does NOT have to jump at your article in a paper of general circulation.
