about that Civility Code…..

Last month, the Knox County Commission passed a civility code for itself and presumably the individuals that attend all meetings of the Commission.

A reasonable man could conclude that it was in response to the disruption of Commission meeting immediately following the death of Anthony Thompson, Jr. in combination with the many speakers during the mask mandate.

However, Constance Every and Calvin Taylor Skinner and others were promptly arrested after yelling at Commissioners during a meeting.

Now, last night as the Commission was prepared to vote on the sector plan and rezoning of the field on Ebenezer Road in the front of Bexhill Subdivision. A lady began shouting, Commissioner Larsen Jay asked her several times to have order, she didn’t. He then said I don’t want to call PBA on you to be removed.

Now, this is partial a rhetorical question(s), but the difference in Constance and Calvin and the lady from West Knoxville is what?

**the picture on the cover of this story is NOT the lady that shouted at Commissioners. Just a screenshot of the actual rezoning actions during the meeting.
