LCUB to Enter Fiber Broadband Too?

Last night, the Lenoir City Utility Board held a Public Hearing on creating fiber broadband for its customers. Very much like KUB did last year. LCUB offers electricity to a lot of West Knox County, including Farragut, Hardin Valley and Karns area.

Now begins a 14 day comment period before the next steps. LCUB governing board Is made up of members of the Lenoir City Council and two Knox County Representatives.

Tennessee Star had this Commentary recently on the proposal. This recent news article is also good reading.
