Where is the Openness and Transparency?

I had information on Thursday night June 2, 2022 that Knox County Sheriffs office CAD system had gone dark, reportedly due to the CAD subscription not being renewed appropriately. The CAD system is the computer in KCSO vehicles that are linked to dispatch and it does everything, get reports, wrecks etc. It was back to hand written stuff. Surely difficult for anyone that has been in law enforcement the last ten years. With this darkness, it opens the question of is KCSO in compliance with NCIC (National Crime Information Center) and DOJ (Department of Justice) standards.

On Thursday night 6/2/2022 I texted messaged Kimberly Glenn and Sheriff Tom. On Friday June 3, 2022 I emailed Glenn, Sheriff Spanky and Hillary Martin at KCSO the same questions as the text. No response to either, they legally have seven business days, when I hear, you will know.

I am told they were dark a few hours to less than 24 hours. Will Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs or any of the 11 Knox County Commissioners ask any questions?

The questions I have asked are:

1) how did that happened?
2) how is the department operating now and until it’s live again?
3) when will it be resolved?
4) how will you resolve being out of NCIC and DOJ standards, if you are
.

Checking the facts on this one, I will. Since I am challenged to do so, regularly.
