I spent an hour today as part of a 6 member media panel for a session at the Knox County Schools Partners In Education Regional Conference. The event itself was organized very well thanks to Mellissa Ogden and Jennifer Faddis of the school districts Public Relations Department. As the event began I snapped a photo with the iPad2 of the other 5 panelists. From left to right are Catherine Howell of Newstalk 98.7, Lydia McCoy Education Reporter of the Knoxville News Sentinel, Tearsa Smith Good Morning Tennessee Co Anchor on WATE, Sara Bennett and Ruth White of the Shopper News. I was honored and pleased to represent the citizen journalists that contribute to the blogosphere as news sources.

You know it’s just pr, right?
They’re trying to increase their number of stakeholders and fellow travelers in preparation for the next budget battle.
It’s a bad sign of just how far they’re willing to go.
I bet everyone on that panel, except you, will now at least sympathize with the Board of Education’s side when the battle begins.
