Ron Paul is Coming to Knoxville April 12

Ron Paul, former U.S. Congressman from Texas and perennial Presidential Candidate is coming to Knoxville. He is scheduled to speak at the Knox County Republican Parties Lincoln Day Dinner on April 12. Our Second District Congressman John J. Duncan, Jr. always arranged the Speaker.

While Paul is a popular big name among some in the party. He also is not popular with the normal audience that attends the annual fundraiser. Paul has left the Republican Party in the past to run as the Presidential nominee for the Libertarian Party.

The reaction yesterday from regular Lincoln Day Dinner attendees were mixed. From disinterest, to upset to one person thinking it was RuPaul.

So they’re bringing someone who has been soundly defeated each time he has ran for President.

I don’t understand the thinking behind this.

I remember when Gingrich came to it, because he was a rising star.

I can’t understand having Paul, who never even got off the ground, and could never, ever even have a smidgen of a chance of winning a general election.
