Knox County Schools Security Meeting

I was up close and somewhat personal for last nights Knox County Schools School Security meeting at Amherst Elementary School. There were about 175 people that attended. Many were school employees and the few parents were mostly from the area around Amherst.

This meeting was primarily for parents and citizens to discuss and ask questions of School Superintendent Dr. James McIntyre, Jr., Knox County Sheriff Jimmy J.J. Jones and Knoxville Police Department Chief David Rausch.

This is a light hearted moment prior to the start of the meeting. I heard what was said by Sheriff Jones at the expense of Sheriff Jones. However, I am not sharing. I feel this is a good photograph as these three gentlemen have jobs and responsibilities that require them to be serious. So capturing them being like any of us, is good to show they are human, like us.

It’s pretty much like all of McIntyre’s misleading statements are just forgotten. They’re not.

BOE is in denial. The Ritta bells tolled for them.
