Putnam County Schools builds 13 inclement weather days into their calendar. There are two remaining unused days, the Director of Schools has requested to shorten the school year for students and utilize two days for staff development. This seems like a responsible action. It is good for the faculty and staff and family friendly to the students and their families as well. Read the story from the Herald Citizen here.
