Tomorrow, You Can Learn About the Effects of ObamaCare

The West Knoxville Republican Club (WKRC) invites all area GOP Club members, friends and family to join us at our May meeting to hear Dr. Manish (“Manny”) K. Sethi speak on “Why Every Tennessean Should Care: Healthcare Reform and the Future of Our State.”

In order to accommodate Dr. Sethi’s schedule and what the club hopes will be a large turn-out. WKRC will be holding the May meeting tomorrow Monday May 6, 7 pm at West High School (in the main auditorium). Doors open at 6:30 pm.

Dr. Sethi is a trauma surgeon at Vanderbilt University and was raised in Hillsboro, TN. His mother and father practiced medicine in Manchester, TN for over 20 years. He attended Webb High School in Bell Buckle.He attended college at Brown University, following one year as a Fulbright Scholar, went to Harvard Medical School. Manish also completed his Orthopedic surgical training while at Harvard University.

Dr. Sethi maintains a deep interest in healthcare reform and has been a consultant to the Agency for Healthcare and Research Quality. He worked for and has been mentored by Senator Dr. Bill Frist, who convinced him at a young age to become a surgeon.

He is married to Maya, a litgation attorney and they are expecting their first child at the end of May. They attend McKendree Methodist Church in Nashville.

Dr. Sethi is very active in the Nashville area GOP, and has been speaking across the state on the topic of Health Care Reform. He was interviewed for the 2012 Beacon Center of Tennessee Publication “A Cure for What Ails Us – State Led Healthcare Solutions to Fix Washington’s Botches” You can view it online, here He recently wrote an article with Gov Winfield Dunn for the Tennessean.
