Has the Knox County Republican Party Moved Back to North Knoxville?

The Knox County Republican Party Chair made a BIG deal about locating an office back in West Knoxville. It moved from Concord Street and Kingston Pike in 2005 to the Broadway and I-640 interchange and was there until recently.

The Chair supposedly secured a location in West Knoxville area near Baum Dr. Right at the time of Northshore Drive and Lyons View back up for hours at a time.

So when Precinct Chairs began receiving notices about a precinct chair meeting this Thursday at something called Fountain City Auction House at 4109 Central Avenue Pike. People were perplexed, not sure what was to be auctioned and if they were supposed to buy something. Then the twitter account for the party told us what exactly is at 4109 Central Avenue Pike.

So basically the rumor that the Publisher of the weekly throw away paper is the Chair by way of proxy appears to be gaining some legs. Also, the other local weekly throw away paper, the Big Metal Shed on the Hill and other media will not attend because of the entity that occupies the property. The rumor that a sweep for recording bugs could being mandated by a few precinct chairs could not be confirmed at posting time.
