In introducing himself, Commissioner Robert Lawrence Smith said “I am waiting to see what 2014 has in store.” He was sitting beside his advisor. Several sources have indicated that now that he has ruled the Trustee job out, that it appears that he will seek the Knox County School Board seat in the Seventh District. Primarily because it does not have the term limit provision. Many he could keep the job longer than 8 years.
