Fred Sisk Enters Trustee Fray Today

Today, Former Knox County Trustee Fred Sisk submitted his resume and cover letter asking to be considered for the Interim appointment on July 22 at 2 p.m. by the Knox County Commission.

Sisk a graduste of the Univerity of Mississippi has worked in the Trustee’s office since 1989. In 2007, he was appointed Trustee by the County Commission. In 2008, he was elected by the citizens of Knox County to be Trustee. In 2010, he did not seek the position, primarily because he didn’t have the energy to face John Duncan, III.

As a matter of fact, this website broke the news of Sisk’s withdrawal from the primary election. Sisk announced his non canidacy at a Halls Republican Club meeting.

This may cost Sisk the appointment, but I believe he is the best choice for Knox County Commission to select. Then in 2014 whoever is elected should keep Sisk in a role especially during a long transition.
