Knox Politics 2014 is Simmering

Every 8 years nearly every office in the courthouse is on the ballot. All the Judges and Attorney General serve 8 year terms. Eight years ago, I was the Knox County Republican Party Chairman. In 2006, the TN Supreme Court ruled that several of our officeholders were in violation of the term limits approved by the voters in 1994.

The incumbents faced the ‘orange ballot’ candidates and the party prevailed. I am most proud of facing so many obstacles and still the party prevailed.

In May 2014, there are 4 County Commission seats on the ballot, the Fourth, Seventh and the two at large seats. Along with all the other 30 or so races.

One candidate Bo Bennett who is seeking the Seventh District County Commission seat received his bumper stickers and lapel stickers. When his financial disclosure is released, you will see who gave them to him as an in kind contribution but I digress.

Below is a picture of Bennett placing the first one on his car.
