Democrat Terry Adams Ain’t Quite Ready for Prime Time

Knoxville Democrat (yes there are a few, they can all still fit in a phone booth in the Old City. If there were phone booths around anymore) Terry Adams apparently made the media rounds in Nashville and Chattanooga. I saw a story on the Chattanooga Times Free Press website. But on the Tennessean website they posted about a three minute video where he met with reporters.

Interesting at the beginning he had to stop right after saying he grew up in Nashville. Took a single sheet of paper and turned it over and apparently reads the high school he attended. From there he kinda recovers and talks about the two party system and why that is important.

He then states that he is going no where. Now, I suspect he meant that he was in the race to stay. But that isn’t what he said. I could digress about certain folks getting upset because of words they say and it wasn’t meant that way or the conversation wasn’t supposed to go that way. But I won’t go there, today.

He talks about all the money Harold Ford, Jr raised. He talked about all the money Mike McWherter raised in the state. He talked about the money Prince Phillip of Nashville aka Bredesen raised. He leaves out that in 1994, Bredesen got beat by Congressman Don “Income tax” Sundquist. And only in 2002 when Bredesen faced Congressman Van Hillary did he win. Also, Bredesen was able to write checks at the kitchen table over breakfast juice and didn’t rely on a lot of donations.
